Welcome to the Associazione Paratetraplegici Liguria - Onlus website!

The Association was founded in Genoa (Italy) in 1992, and was set up to help and to protect the interests of people with spinal cord injuries, and to provide information for their needs. The Association relies on the work of volunteers and promotes initiatives to support its organization.
Most of those in the Association are people with spinal cord injuries who are putting their experiences at everybody’s disposal

The Association can provide:
Assistance at home, at work or during free time;
Detailed information on Rehabilitation Centres and Hospitals that specialise in spinal cord injury treatment;
Informations on medical supplies (how to find and to buy the specifical supply you need);
Informations on handicap laws which are in force in Italy;
News on possible sports activities in this Region;
News on free-time opportunities, tourism information, places accessible to visit in Liguria (where and how to find facilities for the physically handicapped);

News of meetings and conventions on spinal cord injury in Italy

The Association has three offices spread throughout the Region (in Genova,Pietra Ligure and S. Margherita Ligure) and one active group in La Spezia.
